Tour of Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau

Trip

Akiyoshidai is Japan’s largest karst plateau, located in Yamaguchi Prefecture. It features vast grasslands and the famous Akiyoshido Cave, making it a popular spot for sightseeing and nature observation.

Today, I will introduce Akiyoshidai to you.

Akiyoshidai has underground caves and vast grasslands that stretch above them. The landscape above ground looks like this photo. It was a beautiful scenery, almost like paradise.

A road runs through the grasslands above, and driving along it is an exceptionally enjoyable experience.

Next, this is the entrance to the limestone cave. The entrance itself is also incredibly beautiful.

You can see beautiful scenery here, and it feels very soothing for the mind.

This is what it looks like inside the cave. The stalactites were beautifully illuminated with lights.

Once you go through this tunnel, you will reach the exit.

Finally, here’s a bonus photo. I took it at a zoo near Akiyoshidai.
